The oil seal leaked in my rear differential in my 2004 Grizzly, but I havent had a chance to fix it yet so what would cause this? Is this a common problem?

Seems to be. My friend has an '03 or '04 600 grizzly (I can't recall) and is leaking from the same seal. Just keep it filled up until you have the time to replace.

Yes, this is a fairly common problem. Mine has started leaking as well and it’s an ’04 model. I just make sure to keep it filled up, but I need to get in there and replace it when I get a chance. As far as I know that seal is around $35.
