440ex runs hot

i have a 440ex that is running a little hot, actually hot enough that you can not touch the oil tank ,has anyone ran into this before? i am thinking about using a tranmission cooler from a
car for a oil cooler.any ideas would be appreciated.

Welcome to the world of air cooled motors, this a common problem when you thin out the cyllinder, the bigger the bore- the more heat your gonna create. I run a 4-row oil cooler, larger oil tank ( pingry) and air shrouds to funnel the air towards my motor, but it'll still run alittle " hot ".
