R wont rev all the way!!!

My friends 250R wont rev all the way out, It only revs like 4500-5000 RPM's and the engine is fine. Could it be the reeds or something with the carb cause we changed the main jet many times and its still the same??????

Is your throttle cable adjusted correctly?

make sure all the grounds are good and the coil connections are tight.
Could be a weak stator or cdi box. I've never seen a coil go bad so I automatically assume one of those things.

I think that is a common symptom of the weak spark that some R's get. You might have to replace the ignition.

What does it do, just stop rebbing and run smooth or does it cut really bad or what?
