i found out that Armor All rim cleaner/carb cleaner are both GREAT all around cleaners

You bet your balls they are. I'm going to add WD-40 to that list - it makes mud and dirt more likely to slide off the frame, shines up the plastic real nice and is also a great frame cleaner.

is wd-40 really good to use to clean the frame n stuff with

Carb cleaner first, then WD-40 for a sort of top coat.

Just as long as the quad is completely clean, you don't need to wipe the WD-40 off. It won't make grime on a clean quad. But when dust hits it if it isn't dry it will stick.

You will need to wipe the carb cleaner off.

The carb cleaner is also great for cleaning the engine and other metal parts that stain from mug. You should see before and after pics of my carb- it blows thiclk grime right off.

I have a pic right after I cleaned it, but no befores. Here you go. Keep in mind, this is an 18 year old motor.

These pics make the plastics look real dull. Here's a better shot of the frame.

The absolute best stuff is OIL EATER!! www.oileater.com

They sell the industrial stuff at Costco over here.

try Pleadge furniture polish. Our local Honda dealer turned me on this idea. Works great on the plastic and frame. Smeels good also!

Ill second the WD-40 to coat the frame with to get dirt and mud off easier. Pam cooking spray also works very well. Basically you want a lubricating liquid that will dry up. It provides a barrier on whatever u apply it to, makes grime and mud come off very easily. There is also a company that makes paints that do the same thing. Alot of dirt track racers, mud racers, offroad guys use it on buggys and trucks that see alot of mud and dirt. It spray right off with low pressure and leaves no residue. And its the paint itself so you never have to reapply.

There a motorcycle cleaner called BIKE BRITE it takes the mud off fast and makes everything look new. Than I spray wd-40 over everything.

I get this stuff that we use at the car dealership that i work at and its called purple power but it works great on the motor, tires, and the frame.

I see you guys use a lot of different cleaners. I just use a pressure washer and it works fine. It doesn't do the detail work but it sure is an easy way to get the crud off.

Happy Dad.

To day I was cleaning my sons KX65 and I used WD40 on the plastics and it did a great job. Quite amazed. I also soaked the chain with it and am pleased with the results.
