My 400ex is a 2004.. I have Pro Design Filter kit, Pre Filter, Outwears airbox lid, FLY Racing handlebars, AC Font Bumper, DG nerfs, UM Performance air scoops, and coming soon are some black fullbore racing fenders and a Denton Graphic kit... I want to have a fast 400, but yet a good trail 400 and good sand and some mud to go through.... Any know anything to help its speed, trailriding, and mudding?? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!

I'd suggest adding a slip on or complete exhaust and rejetting the carb.

Sprocket, 14 for torque, 16 for top speed.

Sprockets are arguably the best bang-for-your-buck. For under ten bucks you can get a new one. I have 14/39 gearing which puts my bike at about 62 mph but it gets there FAST.
