i just got my 450 r carb and was wonderin a couple things what happens to all the wires comeing off the carb. idnt need em 4 anything what am i supose to do with em.

can i use the sam throtel cable as the 400 or do i need a 450 cable

the wires are for the TPS i think, others can tell you for sure. but you dont need them for anything, just cut them off or tape them up out of the way.

dont worry about the wires you dont need them.. the 450r has electronic crap

the one on top that has like a black nipple, i undid, snipped the cable and put them spring back in and closed.

it should look like the old one when you get it in. just route those wires towords the back, over that cross member and ziptie out of the way.

everyone says to sand the inside of the intake boots but i dont recommend it. you might wanna exchange carbs later on. the 450r will fit inside those boots. use a hairdryer or heatgun if it is too stiff.

you MUST use the 450r throttle cable. when you get it you will understand why. it is a totally diff cable.

Is this a Trx 450 Carb going Onto a Trx 400 ?? hmm.. never thought of that ...

so the necks are the same size etc ? Interesting .not as easy as im imagining though I take it ??

I also want to look into this Choke removal thing : i Never bloody use it anyhows , and the first time I tried it the bike actually cut out instead of idling higher

I had to sand down the boot to head. But just heated up the other air boot and all is good. YOu need to move your airbox about 1 inch forward also.

Anyone got a pic of a 400 carb and a 450 carb ??

I'd like to tackle this one . bigger carbs on cars work , so why not on bikes too ??

This should give anyone enough motivation to do the mod ...

do a search and there is a step-by-step thread on how to install one with pics. It is easy to do and give a great increase throughout the powerband

how could you loose? just get a white bros. rev box and valves adjusted for it and you will smoke Z400s also need at least 15t front,38t rear. this will give you a big jump on the z400s(check my sig counter)

Does your sig counter increment off a java script or is there some serioius 450r carb mojo that makes it go?
