some guy wants to trade his cannondale for my ttr:
http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/mcy/145803184.html
what do you think is the problem on the bike?
he descibes it in the IM chat as:
i took it out riding and was on a trail and it died on me, (there are known for fouling plugs easy) i thought it was a fouled plug so i pulled the plug and replaced it and tried to start it and nothing, the fuel pump wouldnt even prime, so i towed it back to the trailer and there it sat. a couple guys there i know came and looked at it, they use to have cannondales and they told me it is a bad ground cause if you jumped the fuel pump it worked. So I brought it back and its been sitting for 2 weeks havent had time to look at it, and its getting close to the due date for the wife and we discussed it and basically she said its time for it to go :-(

what do you think is wrong with it?

My first guess would be a fried relay in the ECU.

If it fries, the fuel pump won't run, and it won't fire the spark plug.

You would need a new ECU, and the ability to retune it.

Thats only if that IS the problem.

if thats true, how much $ would it cost to fix?

stick with a honda mike or a suzuki no offenese to you c-dale riders

If that actually was the problem, then you would just need a new ECU. I think $100 for a brand new one, or you could find one used.

You would also need a way to tune it. You may be able to find someone near by to help you out with that.
