Pressing Bearings In

Any tricks to pressing brearings into the front drum without a bearing press? Or taking them to a shop with a press?

TIME TO GET THE WIFE EXCITED. Put the bearings in the freezer for an hour or so and heat up the ol oven to about 150-200 deg. and cook the housing. the bearings will usualy fall in. happy cooking.

Heat the bearings after the the cooling? For how long? Or heat the drum while the bearings cool? Expand one and contract the other?
These ideas are beter than the old socket and hammer we used as kids.

Used to say we could fix anything with a cresant wrench and a sledge hammer. That's all they gave us on the ship.
