Anyone have any pictures of the outerwear cover on their airbox? Can it be made to fit without cutting on the airbox? Also i've heard of people just cutting out the lid and using the cover to put on the lid, Any pics or comments?

Here is a pic. I just removed the lid and put it on. I've been through some water and never had a problem, but I mainly do MX. It will fit over the HRC lid. I tried it and it fits. No cutting is needed for it to fit.

is it held on by velcro or an elastic strap?

It has elastic around the edge. It is also water repellent.

No cutting necessary on the '04-05 lid anyway. I don't see any way to get it to fit the '06 without modding the airbox.
