I have recently purchased an 86 ATC250r, I own an 86 TRX250r that I will never part with, I bought the ATC with the intention of parting it out or using some of the parts as spares for my quad, do you guys think i would be better off parting it out or getting back in good condition and hanging on to it, I am an ATV guy and no nothing about the value of the three wheelers, I also have an 85 350 Odyssey, maybe I should just start a collection, lol
Let me know what you guys think

In my opinion the trikes aren't worth parting out. Look on ebay the ATC250r parts (except the motor obviously) dont really sell for much. If I had it and was considering parting I would make a list of all major parts and see what ebay is bringing for them. I think there worth more complete. If you want to sell as a complete unit let me know and send a few pics. I'm always looking for a new restoration project.

Definately hang on to it and restore it to original. The value of the ATC 250R's and ATC 350X's are going up. I would make it bone stock and keep it for a few years. They are also a blast to ride, my buddy has an 86 and I love riding it. You can pull a wheelie effortlessy and really isn't dangerous if you know how to ride them. Just have to use a lot more body english into turns and once you get used to it, you'll love it!

im not a big trike fan, but i say you should definetly restore it, or atleast just leave it the way it is. like someone already posted these things are going way up in value and they will continue to do so.

the atc 250r's are alot of fun and there seems to be less of them out running around. they keep up with everything (if not faster) and you will get more looks and become the topic of conversation around camp " did you guys see the old school 3 wheeler ? I remember the one I had back in ............" I say keep it also, they are cheap and fun (good combo)
