Help with loose kickstarter

I have a stock kickstarter that rattles a lot when the bike is running and even starts turning outward while I ride which really annoys me. I was told that there should be an o-ring inside the kickstarter lever, but I see that its missing. Does anyone know if you can just buy a rubber o-ring from your local hardware store or are there any other tricks to keep the kickstarter from moving all over?

Most of the time you can buy a thicker O-Ring. It won't flip out as easily, but it will stay in. I did this on my Banshee, as opposed to doing the whole rebuild thing. I haven't had a problem. I just went to Lowes for the rings.

They do not sell a rebuild kit, you must purchase the parts separetely but I took the time to find all the part numbers off of Service Honda you need for the rebuild. After you rebuild it, it will work like new, at least mine did! Tom
28302-965-000 Plug, Kick Arm
28333-124-000 Spring, Kick Starter
