Extended case studs??

Is there really a need to purchase the extended studs when using a spacer plate or can I get buy with just turning them out a few turns to allow me more threads up top?

You can get away with that on a Sparks cylinder because the spacer plate is 2 mm. The other spacer plates are like 5 mm. I would get the longer studs if I were you.
