I changed the main jet in my 250ex from 102.5 to a 115 and now that i changed it, it still back fires and its weird because now it feels like its running to rich in stead of to lean, and to make sure what does the quad to if its to lean or if its to rich. I was thinking of changing the piolet jet would that be a good idea or not. thanks

First of all, look at your spark plug and see what color it is. You want to have a light brown color.
Second, its kindof off topic, but how do you like your shocks?

a 115 from a 102.5 is a huge change. If it is backfiring on deceloration, its either the needle or the pilot.

too big of a jet will make it have no top end you will only have the first part of each gear. what year 250x ? my 91 had a 150 when i got it (it ran like crap). I went all the way down to a 135 now and its right on. (has 12:1 wiseco,dg pipe, k&n) I would guess too small of jet would do the opposite, no low end grunt ?
