EX and KFX front shocks????

I have a 400ex and just bought a KFX400. Are the front shocks the same? Reason for asking. I just bought New fronts for the EX a few months ago and without measuring or anything they looked very similar. Its a used KFX and I figured I would just swap them to keep the newer shocks!

just try and swap them. if they dont work then put them back on the ex. But they should because 450r shocks fit z400/kfx400 and 400ex both.

The top shock mount on the Z/KFX is wider than the 400ex mounts so Z shocks won't switch to the EX but EX shocks can be switched with a custom spacer of some kind. Aren't the Z shocks 1/4 inch longer too?

Not sure of the length but without trying them I noticed the top of the shock was wider. Looks like the springs on the EX are thicker too. Would they be better or worse? The spacer would not be a problem!

i run a set of TCS Lt shocks from an R on my Z. once you get the spacers for the top mount, its just a matter of getting the shocks dialed in for the different angle the of the Z as opposed to the EX or R. It is VERY similar and if you know what you're doing, easy to do.
