i got my 350x swingarm and went tpo put it on my 300ex and gess what its dosnt bolt on. its too small so what should i do just put washers in it or?

Yes you will have to shim it to make it fit. Line up the sprocket and everything will be fine. Also did you get the axle? If so it will be longer and wider then stock.

i just took my 350x setup off,i ended up with a piece of 3/4 in pipe for a spacer on the sprocket side and a couple washers on the other side.easy swap.

Do the 450r swinger direct match up.

Posted by: Tri-valleyracin

i would do the 450r one but i have the 350x rear end and i dont have the time or $ to get the parts for it but it might be some thing to think about.

i used two aluminum 3/8 's shims, one for each side and it mounted up great

well i got to work on my 300 today and its almost finished . i started with a frame and motor today and ended the day with is readys to start up. i still need to get the spacers for the rear end but i had it on with a one big spacer on the non chain side and it was only like a fraction of a inch off im goin to finish tomarow and get pics up. all i need is rear bracks, chain, rear sproket , and barring carrier.

my 300ex so far

If memory serves, you need to space it more on one side.

this is correct, you need the bigger spacer on the sprocket side.it will physically bolt up but your sprockets will not be properly aligned which will cause you to end up with obvious results.read..busted cases

From what I have read this is what I have found. The '85 swingarm requires diferetn brake setup then 250X/300EX, Teh '86 you can use teh 250X/300EX setup. Also appears that the aftermarkert bearing carrier are teh same for teh '86 350X and the 250X/300EX's. so withthat said you, if you had a 86 swingarm, rad carrier and maybe their brake holder for a '86 350x you could use teh 300EX axle and lock nut and factory brake setup and maybe not have to us as much of a offset on the swingarm.
