I just bought what is supposed to be a LRD 265 PV from a guy
I've been buying alot of my parts from for my project R.
He has never sold me junk and all of his parts are reasonably priced.
The problem this time is... When I get the cylinder.. there is no markings on it at all to show that it is a LRD cylinder.
Ive never seen one up close but I would think that a company like LRD would definately put some type of ownership markings on their work.
Can anyone tell me for sure if it should be marked?

Most of the time they are marked. Maybe he had someone do a copy of the lrd port job.

Mine says LRD right on the side. I can tell you they put a serial number right on the side of the cylinder where the reed cage bolts on as well. It is something like 20160901 where the last 4 numbers represent the month and year it was done. September of 2001.

Well, It doesnt look like mine has the serial number either. I think what I purchased was just a PRO-X PV cylinder with some generic port work.
What do these cylinders normally sell for? I paid 700.00 for the cylinder, new piston, gaskets and head thinking it was LRD.
Now Im wondering what to do.

Run it.

Yeah, run it. If the porting sucks you can always have someone clean it up.

Ok I'll run it.
Just went to install it all and realized that the needle bearings for my rod end have been lost during a recent move.
If anyone has some they can part with please PM me.

If you are talking about the needle bearing for the wristpin just go buy one, they are under $10.
