can i put the plastic heel gaurds on my 250x because i dont want to spend $215 on nerf bars WITH heel gaurds

You can get blaster ones or 300ex ones they will both fit.

I don't know about your 250X but the 87's don't have the threaded hole on the frame for them to bolt to nor do the foot pegs.

buy 300 ones off bikebandit, and then drill the hole in the peg

It dont, but he has a 89 and I'm almost sure that there is a threaded hole on the frame.
