My friend has a 2003 z400 and the bottom end went out on him in the dunes. i tore into it and found that the clutch had some damage. Is their only 7 friction discs? I have another disc that looks like a friction disc but is not as wide and looks like a spacer. Where does this disc go? Any help would be appreciated. Also does anyone know how thick the friction discs are supposed to be when measuring with metric caliper. I dont have a service book.

If im not mistaken the smaller disk your talking about goes all the way to the inside ( up against the motor)

According to the Manual There are 2 different types of drive plates on with an inside diameter of 4.82 in and 7 with an inside diameter of 4.5 in and the one wit 4.82 needs to be installed first

Theres 7 Drive plates 7 driven plates and one larger inside diameter drive plate
