The beach clean up is actually done twice a year throughout the entire coastline. There are also other times of the year and different locations that have organized clean ups
I've done the clean up with SLD in past, i'll be at Florence this year.
Remember, the idea is to clean up the garbage from the flakes, losers and dirt bags then go riding

If everyone cleaned up after themselves everyday this wouldn't be needed

yup, It's not that hard to tie a black plastic bag to a tree for trash and just throw it in the trailer when you're done! or i'm sure there's a garbage can in the parking lot. People cannot seem to understand that the sand IS NOT a garbage dump. That's PART of the reason that we're having less and less riding area.
Am I right?

I don't like it, but let's face it. Our sport isn't really known for being populated with civic-minded, responsible, well-intentioned people.
