I live and ride in Indiana. We go to the Badlands about once a Month.

Posted by: LiLMissHondaEx

I heard the sand in the Badlands is not really sand but more like pea gravel. Is that true??

Posted by: Dave400ex

Yeah that is kind of true. There is some Sand, but there is a lot of Pea Gravel mixed in with it. We ride in the Woods the most so it doesn`t matter. The Badlands is awesome.

I'm from Lafayette, IN, about 30 min west of the Badlands. My friends and I usually go riding there and are always looking for more people to ride with us. Once I get a 400ex, hopefully within a month or two, we'll be there a lot more. Let me know if any of you want to go riding some time...

Oh yeah, do any of you know if Haspin Acres is any good?

probably not,,,I have a feeling I'll be feeling and lookin like this guy the next morning.. I normally ride hard on saturday, drink heavily saturday night and take slow rides on sunday if I wake up alive.. I'd be glad to watch and root fer anybody that's gonna be racing,,,plus I think I'll have the 416 setup for the MX tracks,,I'm sure it wouldn't work worth a crap on the trails..

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

Come on, I'll change your wheels and put skid plates on for ya. Can't help ya on the tho! You do know thats how Yokley goes so fast don't you?

Posted by: indygncc

Jeff, Rico...........My brother and I will most likely be there for the race, hope to see you guys there.

Posted by:

How long are them races up there????

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

I think an 1 1/2hr, just a little sprint race!:square

Posted by: indygncc

Sure Jeff!!!!!!! Im sure you wont be to easy to beat. Your just trying to physche your teammates out now arent you?
I may not be racing depends if Im still crippled up. Hope to see ya there.

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

LOL...how about a top 5 QuadShop sweep!!! Ya, rest that sholder! Maybe we should all wear blue jeans and work boots, I heard that is the hot setup for winning races!:blah

Posted by: ridered300

There are quad drags coming up Saturday August 10th in Gaston @ the fair. There are usually about 200 quads there. Anything goes, NOS, big bores, its all one big class and gets narrowed down to a single winner before the nights over. Lots of fun. Its a hard-packed dirt track. Practice starts around 4 and the actual racing starts around 7. Hope to see everyone there!

JEFF!!!!

I will make it on that sunday to race, if you guys can help out a bit. A Quadshop/EXriders finish would be sweet. Only one problem is that the front end of my quad is gone and I need those Elka's and houser's before then to put on and get setup. **Hopefully they will be in this week so I can get them on** I plan on racing a utiility that day if the stuff isn't in yet. It would be nice to meet you guys and some of the other EXriders. My "pit crew" is busy that weekend, but I won't miss the race. Get back with me if you guys can meet up on saturday evening and camp around shoe tree maybe have a little fun, but not so much to "mask" the race on sunday. Let me know,

thanks

Thats our plan!!! I shipped your arms and shocks today.

Posted by: nuttynewt

Maybe I can have my quad back together by then... (man do I hope...) I know that I will never, ever tear one down to the frame for a rebuild in the summertime again. I bought my Elka's months ago and still haven't got to try them out yet. I must say that the old R does look pretty good so far, though (the half that is finished).

Posted by: roostin_dale

I would be up there racin but i dont have my new 400ex yet! My warrior is in the garage...it needs a new piston(cracked)..head...bushings...rocker...clutch....pretty much an overhaul.........darn yamaha's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've riddin there! We also have a MidSouth (www.msws.org) hare scramble race there once a year over in the city park.

Posted by: nuttynewt

Jeff, are quads allowed to race at Lynnville? A friend who races that series on a bike told me that the Lynnville race is the only one on the schedule that doesn't allow 4-wheelers? Why is that?

Posted by: gncc400exxx

I'm headed to haspin acres for labor day weekend.
Anybody else going?

This the first year that they didn't race quads at Lynnville. A few weeks ago at the banquet they said that the quads would most likley race there again this year.
