I just bought a 250r with the esr 265 kit on it the other day. Damn nice, lots of power. He said it is one of the most reliable kits you can put on an engine and he was a Honda/Yamaha mechanic. So far I love it and have only been of of my new quad to eat, piss, and sleep!

The best would be..PV BIG BORE. the power valve helps with the low end power.

i dont neccessarily think non pv vs pv changes as opposed to reliabilty... i personally have a pv, but i would be fine without one... as for big bore, i would definately say that they are less reliable than smaller kits... they wear a lot more on the other parts... personally i would not go any bigger than a 310... you dont have to split the cases, it'll be plenty fast. and as you go bigger the bike revs slower and ends up being different... as you go bigger you dont wind it out as much, which is part of the reason to have a 2 stroke, to wind it ou... the quadzilla is a fast bike, but its not too fun to ride...

then i guess a 310PV WOULD BE THE BEST CHOICE. TO GET A LITTLE MORE TOPEND AND STILL HAVE THE GUTS AT BOTTOM END.

330 non pv will suffice, its the best of both worlds without the extra money and maintence of a pv imho

i got a 270pv.... it enuf to keep up with the 450's easily. but i also got cr250 flywheel.. so that probly helps too.
