I am having a hard time with thumb fatigue on the 2006 450R. Has anyone tried one of these springs in theirs yet?

Does it work?

I have lookedi into other springs for the yfz and have yet to find one that is made for an fcr and has a lighter pull. The spring on the 450r fcr is not the same as the YFZ. As for the 06 450 the thumb throttle has to go. Dusty uses a different throttle and lever and has been happy with it.

Put a 04 05 thumb throttle on it and your thumb will be happy !!

i am having the same problem. my friend said he ordered this spring for his yfz so i will see how much it helped. i am really wanting to do something about it because i doubt i will last a whole moto with it like this. i never got tired riding my 04 but after acouple minutes of hard riding my thumb feels like its going to fall off.

I have a fcr carb for my 05 and it has a really light spring in it. IT REALLY HELPS WITH NOT GETTIN ARM PUMP!!

I have that exact spring in my yfz 39mm fcr carb, and it worked wonders for me.

So has any found a lighter spring for the 06 TRX450R?? If so where can I get one?

Hey Bart
I race w/ 2 people who have cut their springs then stretched them back to stock length and nade it much easier, just like the 250Rs flat slides. Don''t try any more than 1/4" or it made stick a little until the fuel gets in there and lubes the slide.

Big difference

Twist throttle. Since I injured my thumb using a thumb throttle back when I bought my 00 400ex and put on a twist, they have been on my quads since. You won't even think twice about it once you get used to it.
