i can either get a 06' OTD from NY so i wouldnt have to pay sales tax

or i can get a 05' for 5298.00 OTD

The 2005, it's practically the same machine. I paid 5,800.00 for my 2006 KFX, that included set up, freight and taxes, yes unfortunately my dealer charges all that. But it's ok, I had the spare cash. Conclusion: go with the 2005 if it's new!

at bartleville you can get a 05 450r for $5200 i think the kfx is like 4800

i can get a 06' for 5100 plus the tax 306.00 so do go for the one year old to save 115.00 bucks

Where can you get it for 5100 plus tax?
I live in S.E. Mass and all the dealers within 100+/- miles are getting MSRP plus the set up and freight charges. I would gladly take a ride to NY to buy one there.

$5149 OTD, no tax because I am from NY and bought in OH. Xtreme Yamaha in Bellaire, yea Yamaha, he brought me in the KAW from one of his other dealerships. Jon was the man, and I must add, this was a NO HAGGLE price.

so i assume your not going to register it then because youll pay tax at DMV

and im not spending 5 g's on something and get it registered

go with the 05 if its new and cheaper. the 06 & 05 are almost the same

call town and country in sussex, NJ they have 05's for 4999.99

so you wouldnt be paying tax on it

or if you want to drive a lil further call ledgewood kawasaki in ledgewood, NJ and they shoudl hook you up on a 06'

i ended up getting a 06'
