This is part of what happens when a cannondale bucks you at 60 mph! Yes it hurts. Yes the bike is fine other than broke rear shock, bent steering stem and rims.

I was going across a flat hard pack at about 60, when I hit a tall grassy area.( grass about two feet tall) The grass grabbed my a-arms I guess and the next thing I knew I was flipping! The people with me said that I held on for two rolls? After finally looking at my bike, the shaft pulled out of the rear shock and then bent the spring. The steering stem bent and the plastic is cracked on the front. Don't let anybody tell you the C-dale isn't strong, I crashed my 400 not as hard as this and did way more damage. Now I've got to get feeling better, so I can get it fixed before the H/M trip.

I looked like that once when I went over the handlebars in a gravel pit... in some spots I actually had tire marks from my All-traks on my back!

I'm keeping the broken front to put the Quad tech hood on it, it broke the place that needs to be cut for putting the hood on, so it will work out good for me.

I got a new set of fronts, so I'm going to wait on the hood a couple months, it's $165.00. With all my other expences it's the last on the list right now.

A buddy of mine got bucked off his C-dale last year at Silver Lake. He barrel rolled his at 60+ mph and ended up with a broken arm and shattered shoulder socket.
Man those C-dale sure do bite hard! :devil

Wow that looks identical to my right side, almost. Yup wrecked again even with a torn ACL I went riding. Side skirting a flat trail to keep dust down I hooked a left a arm at 30mph. Did a 30' face plant, slid on my helmet for 10' and then slammed the ground. My hip looked just like yours and just when i thought it was healing it started filling up with fluid. Turn into a "hematoma" Yesterday the doc drained 25oz. of fluid out, yup almost a quart! He said it was a record for his office. got to keep it wrapped tight to keep the tissue from tearing apart internally again. So if it starts swelling watch it.
