Need Help Carb Problem

I have an 04 pred and i am having troubles with my carb it will not stay connected to the motor it keeps blowing off from the motor when i start it up and run it just wondering what i should do !!!!

Is your hose clamp tight??? If so, is it overly tight??

or is it not tight enough? check the tensions on your clamp either way.

That is the problem i think b/c the screw is stripped so i can not tighten it enough

get a new clamp then! dont dick around with faulty screws and such! hardware store, should be about a buck for a new hose clamp!

Definately get a new clamp....the widest you can. You are running a very large risk of blowing you motor.....I've seen it many times. Make sure when you put the carb back on, however, that you don't overtighten the clamp....that can be just as bad as undertightening it.(because the clamp smashes the rubber and actually pushes the carb out of the rubber intake) Just tighten it a bit, and wiggle on it....then a little more....and wiggle...until it seems in there pretty good.

Yeah i put the old clamp back on and tightend it and now it is fine it has not came off yet!!!
