It is time to get paddles for my wheeler. My ex has a stage 2 cam rev box, and a pro circuit pipe. I was thinking about haulers, but are haulers too much for my wheeler, any suggestions will be great. thanks

that's what I run, they are great.

can't go wrong w/ haulers

So you think haulers are a good choice. I know a lot of people i ride with that have haulers i just didn't know if i would have enough power. Ok if i do get haulers what size should i get. I was thinking about 20*11*10 and how many paddles should i get. Thanks

I ran 8 paddles on a basically stock 400ex (pipe, filter & jetted) with no problem, but i'm not a power junkie. Some say seven paddles are better.

haulers all the way!! Won't ever go wrong with haulers. They provide the most hook up than other paddles...i have a set of 20x10x10 7 paddle haulers for sale, their mounted on douglas .160 rims - $170 + shipping..

How many times have your paddles been used?

get 20-10-8 7 paddle skat-trak extremes... best combo IMO for a piped 400ex

What about aerospeeds? I have heard a lot about them are they any good? My buddy has a pair and he has no problems with them.

not very good...

I think i am deciding NOT to get haulers. I just don't want to fight them the whole day. I won't always be drag racing. Does anyone have any good luck with other paddles. Thanks ahead

I have tried several dune tires and my favorite still is the Hauler. I went with an 8 paddle Hauler but also have Sand Skate II's which are a little better for handling. If your looking for one tire to buy though I would still go with the Hauler, it has the best hookup.

I want haulers but i was also looking for more of an all purpose tire. For all of you who run haulers can you do much onside hills. Are they that hard to handle. Can you turn that well?

work great for me with some front tires and a lil skill...

I,ve never had any prob. doing anything w/ my 10 paddle haulers - and would never use any other paddles - you can sidehill just fine with them - I don't dragrace much at all - just alot of rec. riding and they are perfect - but if yer' concerned and don't get them - some of my friends use those itp paddles and really like em' - - but then I smoke em' when we do drag

Me, personally, I'd suggest the Edges over a set of Haulers, especially on a 400EX.
It's not about v-paddle vs straight-paddle. While I suggest v-paddle for recreational riding, more important is the fact that Edges are a little wider, therefore provide a little more flotation to get you on TOP of the sand, rather than trying to dig through it.
The 400EX isn't a big powerhouse, so you're certainly not going to be drag-racing it. That extra flotation will give you a little better speed by keeping you on top of the sand, and that extra speed will allow you to climb better, accelerate better, and allow you to rip through the bowls better.

A few of us run Sand Sharks and some other friends run ITP Sand Stars. Both very good tires.

I ran 20-10-10 9 paddle haulers on my ex. The ex has the four stroke torque so it can handle the hook up. As for the v paddle tires they don't hook up as well which allows more wheel spin and thats why they seem to corner better. My experience with paddles on 400ex and banshees is a nine paddle hauler is better all around (drags and trails) when piped.
