I just bought this 250R for $2,300...
What does anyone/everyone think I should put into it?
All opinions are welcome...
I need a good project for all my free time...

well you already have alot of things you need for mx (a-arms, tether, nerfs) so i would say get somethings pced like the frame and swinger because it looks like they could use it. some new plastics will make a world of a difference. some new front tires, deffineatly suspension, and maybe some beadlocks.

would the 450R front shocks work well on the 250R? are the turf tamers good tires for traction around the track?

Well, I'd tip those handle bars back a liittle, put some non-bald tires on the front and ride the crap out of it.

depends what the track is like but turf tamers can be real good tires. people say the 450r shocks are much better on the front of an R, but personally i would never do it. just get some elka or tcs built to your weight and riding style.

elka shocks. some good mx tires like the razrs or holeshots. paint it black and red and silver. new red plastics. just clean it up and that thing is ready to go. lookin good

lol this might sounds kinda weird, but the nicest 250r i have ever seen had a candy purple frame, orange plastics, chevy orange bottom end, that deff. was the nicest R.

and for parts i would get tires, rims, tcs shocks or elkas, sum +2 a arms, +4 axle, TAg T2 bars. you might wann try checking e bay for parts. alot of people are parting out 250r's and you can get sum really nice parts for a steal, oh yah you might wanna get sum nice fullbores on there, or Mairs with a hood

WELL INSTEAD OF PARTING IT OUT, I WILL JUST SELL THE MOTOR AND GET A FOUR STORKE MOTOR IN THAT FRAME, I WILL NEED SOME HELP WITH FITMENT ISSUES............ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT STICKING A YZ426F MOTOR IN THE 250R CHASSIS?

idk why you want to put a 4 stroke engine in but making it fit properly and such ive heard is a real pain. just wondering why are you wanting to do this?

my bottom motor mounts look like crap, so if it would be easier id rather have a powerful 4 stroke motor, than my 250r motor, my motor isnt bad though, its bored 1 over
