Im selling my 250r engine .........and im debateing weather to get a new250 or a trx450 engine? how difficult would it be to put that engine in a 250r aren's frame ? and do u think it would be worth doing the work?

Don't Do it. The motor will not fit with out cuting and refabing the top, and bottom rear frame. Do a search and check some of them out. It's not worth doing unless you just want a project to do. LOL

Don't waste a good 250r frame by putting a 450R slug in it. Just get another 250R motor and build it properly!!

What a crying shame waste that would be. What was it about your old motor that made you sell it.?
$1300 could get you a pretty good motor on egay. I assume you want a race motor?
If you want a 450R, just buy a used 450R, it'll probably cost as much as buying a motor and putting it in your R.

What engine do you have? 265 NON-PV with radical porting? Give us some some info!
If your engine hits too hard you might want to start looking for a 265PV or sell your entire quad and get a thumper. Lots of mods are needed to put a 450R motor in a 250R frame.

I agree with TRX250RJapan pick up a 265 PV, it will have more smooth power than a light switch power band like it sounds your motor is!
