13.5 inches and its a linkage style and much nicer that all the shocks i have had before.

If a 350X shock has a linkage, then how does it bolt right up to a 300EX? And if I'm not mistaken, isn't the 350X shock longer than a 300 shock? I'm pretty sure the 300's shock is a little more than 13.5 inches.

If yor not using a 300ex swingarm then it wont matter. Depends on what kind of setup you are going for.

^ hes right and the 300ex shock is 13" and it dosnt bolt right up the top shock mount need washers in it but its a much better shock than wat i had on my 300 before and with a diff swingarm it is like a hole new quad.

Well, then 13" is the compressed length when it's on the quad unloaded, cuz I just measured mine again, and it's 14-1/4" extended length.
