Is anyone going to this race this weekend? It's a $4,000 purse for the pro class, and for the am classes a rear set of tires for 1st place.:blah

Posted by: MEL

i don't race there but a friend races pro bike. the track should be in good shape by now. you going ?

Posted by: harebounder

I was there yesterday the track is in great shape. I think i am going down and gonna watch that race. The two pro guys that were there were flying good battle. Tortelli and white i pretty sure that was thier names.

Posted by: MEL

good to see you found the track. how did 117 do?

Posted by: honda_racer199

Ya I'm definitely going! It's gonna be awesome down there. I'm gonna be racing in the amateur class to try and win those tires!

Posted by: jcv400ex

That was prob. Matt White and John Natalie. Yeah, they're pretty fast!

Posted by: harebounder

Bro i am almost positive that it was tortelli. #117 wasn't there i believe.

Posted by: harebounder

JVC you were right it was natalie he won the first moto beating doug gust was wondering if you knew who one the the overall. I had to leave having prior engagements.

Posted by: jcv400ex

Gust did. He pulled the holeshot and just SPANKED the young guns! He didn't even get his quad dirty. He was feeling it.

2nd moto: Gust, Bartosek, Natalie, White, Buddy, and March I think. I left right after the 2nd moto was over. I don't know if Natalie got 2nd overall or if it was Bartosek. I don't know how they score them, but I know the 2nd moto matters the most.

Jason March really surprised me! I think Mark found a good rider there. I think if he had some more practice on that track, he'd been running with Natalie and Bartosek up front. Really put in a good ride on that CRF.

I just hope Dunk is okay. That was pretty scary! I don't know who it was, but someone pushed him over that jump and down into the fence....

Posted by: honda_racer199

Ya when dunk ran into that fence, i thought he was done! That was crazy, how'd you guys like that big table top/triple type thing that the pro's were launching from? HUGE AIR! I tried it and landed right on a guy! Was anyone else here, racing there?

Posted by: jcv400ex

Where you the one that smacked that Raptor in mid-air? After the guy got up and was okay.....I laughed my arse off!

Or how about that goofy guy on the Bomb.....trying the triple! He passed a 400ex, but cased it real hard. Looked like his axle was bent.... D@mn kids. That's why I stick to Hare Scrambles.

Posted by: MEL

that bomb was doing the long down hill right before the turn going to the back part of the track. that guy is nuts!!!!what did you guys think of the predador?

Posted by: jcv400ex

yeah, he was....can't imagine that kid on a 250r or something....he'd be in a full body cast eventually!

I wasn't impressed at all with the Predator... Looked like a even uglier Stock Raptor going around the track. Didn't seem to have the "balls to the walls accelleration" I was hearing about.

It's too heavy and slow to be a motocrosser. Might do good in Hare Scrambles and Dune ridin though.

Posted by: honda_racer199

Ya, that was me that landed on the Raptor! Actually, that dude is a friend of mine. I know that guy on that Bombadier was crazy!, I saw him do that triple next to me and bring up a crap load of dirt when he bottomed out.

Hey guys does maple shade have a web site.

Posted by: jcv400ex

Yeah, didn't your read the sign on the way in!?

It's http://www.mapleshademx.com/

We should all meet over there on a Wednesday or Thursday for practice....anyone?

Posted by: honda_racer199

I don't know it's like a 3 1/2 hour drive for me, and I'd have to go with my parents and I don't think they'll take me down there just to practice, when I have millions of practice tracks up here. I'd love too, but you know! Sorry Dude
