whats the craic people, just after buyin myself a 01 raptor and was wonderin if anyone could help me by tellin me what faults to look out for in them or if there are any common problems with them, the only fault i can spot with the bike is that the reverse switch on the front fender is broken, thanks a million!

Transmission and one-way starters are a big problem in the early year Raptors (primarily the '01 and '02 models.) Do a search for those things and you'll find a million and one results.

thanks a a million for the reply but just wonderin what you mean by one way starter and what are the tellin signs when the transmission and starter are about to pack in

i think he might be talking about is the starter clutch which is a one way bearing which can fail so basically it wont engage when you are turning the motor over!
