Flexx bars setup...

I just got my set of Flexx bars the other day. I was just mocking up the stuff that needs to go onto my bars, and I think I might be running into a little problem. I'm am having a hard time fitting everything on the bars. I have Oury grips (4.5"), ASV clutch perch, powermadds, pro design kill switch, and then throttle and brake housing. What I am looking for is for pics of what other peoples setups look like with their Flexx bars. I may be able to fit things on there, but it is going to be tight, and I wanted to see what others had setup. The problem I am running into is with my ASV pro perch, and the big black box on the bars. I have the lever adjusted so I am just able to pull it in all the way. Anyway, if anyone has any pics or ideas of how to setup the mounts, let me know. Thanks!

i got all of mine to fit....killswitch rtc clutch power mads stock on/off switch ....throttle brake etc... i'll try an get a pic tonite.

have a twist throttle on the way don't know if i'll loose clearance but i have enough on that side, it's the clutch side that's packed together

maybe you could try getting rid of your pro design killswitch and getting a proarmor and mounting it down on the 1 1/8 part of the bars since the proarmor will fit 7/8 and 1 1/8

all of my stuff fits on there just fine, i put my kill switch in between the bar mounts and the handguards and other stuff went on just fine

Worst comes to worst you can always just get a clutch setup with the hotstart attached to the perch and ditch the stock switches.

Now that I have them, if they raised the price to $1,000 I would still buy them. These bars are like having a great set of shocks. If you already have great shocks then it makes it that much better.

Well I already have the ASV perch, so I don't think ill get that. But I may just remove the ugly switch, and get the hot start attachment for the ASV perch.

what bend did you guys get? I ordered a set of the Dirtbike 14 degree bend bars. I am waiting for them to come in to put of my LT-R when I get it in.

Posted by: bpimpdaddy21

I got the creech bars, they are 31", 14 bend I think

anyone have the specs on the factory bars? I kinda like the 450r bend. I've tried the cr hi and 400ex on other 450rs and wasn't too comfortable. I run 450r renthals now. How close are the creech bars to the factory bars?

Not even close. None of the Flexxbars have much pullback. This favors riders who stand more.

you can always cut some of your grips to get that 1/2 or ever 1 inch that you need, but you will have less handgrip.

my set-up/custom hand-guard mounts...that are now powdercoated red

What is the best bend to get? Right now I just want to replace the stock bars and later get a antivibe to go along with the bars. Whats the difference between the two bends they offer?

Posted by: quad2xtreme

12 degree is supposed to be better for people that are like 6' and up and the 14 degree if you are under 6'.

The ATV bend is taller than the mx bends. This really depends on where you like your bars, whether you plan to get a +2 stem, etc.

Remember these bars take 1 1/8" mounts so you will need to adapt your factory stem.

So since I am a little less then 6 foot should I go with the 14 bend then? So Im sorta confused then there is two different bends then a seperate atv bend? I want to order these but I need to make sure I get the right bend. I defintely want the bars to be a little higher then stock if possible. Then later get a stem.

Posted by: quad2xtreme

You should call them.

What they told me when I called them...

First, you order the ATV bend as it will give the height you desire.

Then, you must decide between 12 degree or 14 degree. This is the amount of pullback (a zero degree would be a straight metal bar). Most vendors give you pullback in inches. They recommended 12 degree if over 6' and 14 degree if you are under 6'. To be honest, it isn't much difference. They sell more 14 degree.

Hope this helps.

about the asv lever... how do u have the black box now? is it next to the grip or on the other side? on my 400ex i had to drill a hole in the black box on the back to make the adjustable reach work. its the only way i could make the bars work.
