here is a Newbie tire question, I see all the mini's pictured around various sites and a lot of them have Big front tires and little rear tires.

1 What is the advantage in doing this , Handleing, traction, speed, cornering, what ???

2 What size do most people run on there Mini's ??

3 For MX what kind of tire (brand and model) do people like the most and why.

I think it really depends on thw atv you will be running.

On the 2 strokes, the 18 inch snow hog is really popular, and teh 4 strokes seem to do well with 18x9x8 tires.

Forget about minis for just a minute. Take a look at the big race quads. The rear tires are smaller to gain quickness. They lose top speed but for MX you are not out for top speed you are looking for quickness.

As far as brands go its the same as with car tires. Different strokes for different folks.

MX it seems MAxxis is very popular the Razr's

For desert I really like the Kenda's because they are like 4 ply tires which is very much needed in the desert. For MX a 2 ply is better for weight.

name brands you are looking at MAXXIS, ITP, and Kenda

But like I said in the beggining different strokes for different folks. I run ITP my son runs maxxis (stock on Kymco).
