I am renting a Fun Mover. Will be in Glamis on 3/8 early evening till 3/15 will leave in morning! Looking to share expenses with someone. You can either drive to Gecko Rd and meet or Fly into Yuma, AZ and get transportation there. If you live close to N.Y. I have friends driving that can transport your quad there and back for around $600.00. You can contact me for more info at dr.bones@comcast.net

you and beerock and the boys making a trip down to the real dunes? sounds like fun. i'll probably be down there then as well, only likely i will be on the other side at gordons well. how bad does it affect your jetting from ny to cali? that'd suck if you wasted the whole first day messing around trying to get your jetting right... i guess with a 2 stroke though it isnt too hard... do ya'll drive into yuma mid week and get more race gas, or??? i'm just curious how you guys do these across the country week long dune trips... my longest is 4 days, and by about then i couldnt ride any more if i wanted to...

Actually jetting not affected at all. We ride to buttercup and Mexico and stop at Pairadise for race fuel just past gordons. Back at camp we can get fuel intown at Brawley or the Glamis store sells it! Bee is not making this trip. If you want to hook up for a blast in the dunes keep in touch!

really, thats awesome that you dont have to mess with the jetting. of course ive never been back east and i dont know what kind of altitude and weather you are coming from, but... how in the world do you ride to buttercup from gecko- from your guy's pics most of you have 2 strokes, how in the world do you make it on gas... i dont really know why you would want to go to buttercup besided the mexico factor, but... i didnt know paradise had race fuel- i normally only go there when i have broken down and need to buy something, and luckily havent had to go there in a while... i thought the glamis store and brawley only sold 91 octane... anyways, thats all inconsequential...
thats awesome though that you guys come out, maybe i will make my way over there. you bringing that 250r banshee you have?

My Honshee will be there.

Rawdeal,
Where do you guys camp? We will probably be at Roadrunner at the end of Gecko rd. I will get there about 5-6pm on Wed. 3/8. It would be great if we hook up for some dune shredding! There will be 4 Banshees in my group as well as a group from ohio with maybe 20+ guys that my buddies met out on there last trip. Talk soon.

Hey Doc,
I'll most likely be out there, We camp at roadrunner most of the time. I live 2.5 hours from Glamis and have been there 14 out of the last 16 weekends. I have a 14ft toyhauller that is a Carson Rebel. It has a sticker on the front that says REBEL. I tow with either a silver 4runner or red gmc pickup. Look me up for a ride

no way- ive never seen somebody pull a toy hauler with a 6 cylinder... how does it do?
Posted by: doc-bones
What days will you be at Roadrunner? What machine do you ride? I will stop by roadrunner. We like to do long runs from wash 10 to gecko down to roadrunner down sand highway refuel at pairadice to buttercup and into mexico back across to mountains etc. We will mostly be on banshees with big tanks.

thats nuts man... ya'll just take 2 stroke oil with you, or buy it there in paradise... what ya'll mix it in? thats way cool though.. ive riden back and forth between buttercup and gordons well, but never gordons to glamis... how much farther past patton is china wall?
Posted by: doc-bones
from pattens valley, china wall is back towards glamis.
Posted by: 250r4life
yah i know, thats what i was talking about- going from gordons back to glamis... like patton is like 3 valleys over from comp (freeway @) at gordons, and china wall is like 3-5 valleys over from gecko... i was wondering how far it is if you were to go from patton and head towards glamis, how much farther is it till you run into china wall...
