Thanks Tina!! We are still working on the loading issues - hopefully it's not taking so long to load up now.......still a few things to fix....

Posted by: adrenalinefreak

Yeah...I went to Corry's website to check out the pictures...the ones I could get to load were very nice...I'll probably check back in a little while once the loading issues are solved...

I have less than a month until my first race...I'm not sure if I'll be doing the Taft race, will you guys be attending round two? I have the Adelanto Grand Prix at the end of the month in February!

I cannot wait!

Congrats Corry on the 1st place!!! Maybe i'll see ya around and you can give me some tips

I'm off to work!

Posted by: 400grl

I can't make Taft - and with the GNC's being on the same weekend, I am hoping the turnout will still be a good one! Taft is rough......up until this last weekend, I'd say Taft was one of the roughest races I've run....but I think this past weekend just won that award! LOL!!

Good luck to all running the next race!

Posted by: WORCSYFZ199

I think Taft is the weekend after the GNC nationals at Glen Helen

oh.....hehehehehehheheheh......that is good then!! Blond moment.......

Well I was attempting to upload the pictures last night to my website and the program that I use as the gallery met it's limits last night and crashed the site. I have gotten most of it recovered but the performace is way slooooowwwww....guess I will have to do some cleanup to get the new stuff out there.

I went to the new version which is database driven so it supposed to be able to scale to 100,000 photos without any performance problems but that didn't happen.

What camera do you use and who takes all the pics ?? Do you and your ole man just trade with the camera?

I wish I could train my hubby to do that...lol

Posted by: 400grl

We just have a little Fuji Finepix 4 meg camera with a 10X zoom......I take almost all of the pics when I'm not racing....and then Jason takes the pics of the women's classes......yeah, it's nice that he can take pics while I'm out there......he likes to do it, too.....

During the Morning race, the mud was wet and sticky. I have no clue who the riders where after the first lap.

Posted by: komik

As the sun came out the mud dried and the later morning races had some awesome traction in the desert sections from what I was told from the riders I spoke with.

#3 Josh Fredericks in the UTILITY Class, that's right the utility class is now part of the WORCS series.

Corry Weller (#1157) Navigates a section of the course that gave the rider the option to go left or right. Corry finished the weekend with a 1st Place in the Women's A Class, and a 6th Place in the 30+A Class as well.

Apparently you're not using the right incentive. I don't think there is a male in existance that isn't willing to be trained with the proper motivation.

I think the guy rolling his quad might owe me an ice cold beer at the next race for being nice enough to lock up my brakes and head off the track rather then just making the corner and crushing him. I'll have to say, seeing his quads rear tire flying toward me at head level certainly wasn't the smooth start to the race I had hoped for! Glad to hear he was OK!!

LoL.. Maybe hes just TOO SPOILED! I think he needs a dose of TOUGH LOVE(or no love haha!) that should do the trick!
Ill have my new Camera this week so hopefully Ill have some decent shots for the Idaho round.

Posted by: WORCSYFZ199

I like this one of me and my brother, looks like I have my race face on

Posted by: WORCSYFZ199

yeah this step-down was a lot of fun, 3rd pinned

Hey, what happened to all that smack talk of having his belongings in your purse? Get out there and tell that man how it is..... And if he wants you to "let" him get a new quad he better gets to walkin around that track with a camera in his hand.

Glad you got to make it out there QJ, I know you had said you were looking forward to it. Did ya'll get to race?

Congrats on your win Corry and 6th place. I'm diggin' the Pink handguards.... lol Pink plastics would look pretty cool.

Posted by: 400grl

Hey Thanks!!! I am STOKED to finally take a win in the Women's A class!!!

And the pink......well.....i'm not really a girlie racer....and I don't normally do the whole PINK thing.....but Powermadd sells the Pink handguards to help benefit breast cancer research....they donate a portion of their sales to the Susan G. Komen foundation.......so that's a good enough cause for me to set aside my color preferences for a bit and suck it up and have a girlie color on my quad! Glad you like them though! It was nice to have the lappers move aside for me when I was coming up on them.....usually they think I'm a guy and try to race me......this time they just saw the pink and knew I was in the Women's A class and moved on over!

We didint make the Phoenix round, but we are in a series right now locally.
I let him "borrow" the belongings this week and race my quad though and I got my new camera so Ill have time to practice with it before the Idaho round I got a Canon Rebel 8pix,should be here next week sometime.

Question about this WORCS racing......from the photos the tracks look more like glorified TT tracks instead of motorcross tracks. And how long are these tracks usually. Don't get me wrong not trying to knock them or anything just trying to get some more information on them

Posted by: WORCS 133

Not even close, There might be a TT section on a few select tracks. Most tracks consist of MX and lots of Off-Road, tracks range from 3-7 miles in length. It just depends on how much room they have to work with, Lake Havasu is a large track in a small area that tends to beat the hell out you by the end of the weekend.

Posted by: 400grl

Yeah, these certainly aren't TT tracks!! Some MX tracks are more technical than others......SW has quite a bit more MX than most WORCS tracks.........I'm an MX'er and I love the WORCS races......even with all that desert cr@p thrown in!! LOL!!! JK!!

Take a peek at the viedo Section harlen put up, you will see the Idaho round from 2004 .

Theres nothing TT about this series

Posted by: CannondaleRider

Maybe your getting your "TT" idea from the "bluegroove" that the track develops after a few races.

400+ quads overall, pounding the track the whole weekend, for MX Practice + 12 or so Races, each 30 minutes to an hour and a half long......tends to get stuff pretty well packed, almost asphalt at times

Posted by: d kelley

Saying WORCS tracks are like a glorified TT track is like saying GNCC is a glorified trail ride!

HAHA....some of the GNCC's that is the truth But I was just wondering about the WORC's did not know about the desert sections and such...thats why I ask ( it was just that all the pic's were quads on small rolling jumps ). Have now seen a few vids and more pic's showing a lot more action and different track sections. Looks like it would be pretty cool racing....definitly different from anything over hear towards the east coast

Thats for sure!....

Posted by: WORCSYFZ199

I was wondering when the WORCS coverage and pic for this site are going to be posted? or if anyone's even got it covered, besides offroad.com and the couple of photographer's web sites?

Posted by: QuadJunkies

Thre is some Coverage started in the Worcs Race Coverage section
Im hoping for more than just the Pros though

It takes some time to do write ups and resize pics for sure.
