I'd do it, Banshees arent anything that people make them to be, They handle nice and the power is great its not unpredictable at all, Hands down the most comfterble quad I've ever had bar location and seat etc is spot on.

Ive seen banshees going for between 2000-3500 bucks lately. These quads are very dependable, dont let anyone tell you different. As long as you maintain the quad you will not have problems, Expect to rebuild a banshee every year or 2. My bike has had a topend for AWHILE and its still great.

I payed 3,200 for my 2001 stock shee,and the top end is original; I have no problems with it at all they are great bikes just as reliable as Hondas.

They are very dependable. You can usaully start them within 2 kicks. As long as it is taken care of, jetted correctly, regular oil changes, clean air filter, the same things as any other quad, it will last a long time.

I rode my banshee for 3 days at Rausch creek non stop 10 am till about 6 or 7 when the tracks closed and if you ask me it was a nice ride the entire time.

well, youll deffinatly be getting through them trails quick with a shee. I cant remeber his name but theres a guy that races a banshee in xc. He's a beast.

...yes the stock thumb throttle is a bit stiff,but it makes your thumb strong

The bike is a very soft ride,the seat is low and my back never hurts after a ride.

do a little research before you run your mouth, I raced quads from age 5-12 then went to bikes because I was to tall for minis and didnt want to build a blaster hybrid like many others did.

My buddys went to silverlake and he had a little hissyfit with them and deciced he was going to start this big ordeal and make a gsx600 powered banshee and never did it then took out his embarassment and started to start this oh im going to race you bs..

SEAN0013 - if you're even still reading this thread that Kill Them All f'd up on you (Kill Them All, nice screen name <cough> <cough> *** wipe <cough> ) - buy the Banshee, you won't regret it. You can but a stock one that's already been piped, filter put on, & other minor stuff pretty cheap. Maintain it and you'll have a good quick bike that you can then mod into what ever you want, trail, dune, mx...whatever. Granted, the new 450's are awesome on the track, and it may not be as easy to get down a nasty trail as the new ones, but I get a sense of satisfaction riding a 20 year old machine and at least keeping up with if not beating the new technology. Plus, when you drag...well let's just say you'll find more that one humbled person when they lose to a 20 year old quad, especially one that wheelies 75% of the drag and still beats their ***. Get one, you'll like it.

And one more shot at Kill Them All since punks typically get the most of me...dude, first of all have some respect for others. Most of the people on this site forgot more about quads that you'll ever know. Second, learn to freakin add and subtract before you lie anymore. And third - just a tip - stop bragging about sitting on your dad's lap.
