I know it is not a 450, but my bud put a full Dr. D system on his 250F dirtbike. It is no where near 110 dbs. Actually, sounds pretty close to stock to me.

He said it gave him more bottom and mid range power.

Posted by: ny300exrider

yeah that kid definitly doesnt know what hes talking about. i heard a 400ex with one that was in the backround of music in a video and it seemed to sound real nice and not stupid loud.

Posted by: brink400

Theres no way its 110 db, a TC pipe is 120 and thats about the loudest pipe you can get, except for the ron woods drag pipe, which may be louder.

I've got a Dr. D slip-on on my '04 400EX and I love it. Now I know it's not the same quad, but I can imagine its close in terms of sound. The sound is great - nice and low and powerful sounding, not whiney and irritating like some pipes. As for dB's, it is actually pretty close to stock, louder at full throttle but not overly by any means. I would say about 96-98dB's at most. It will be money well spent on any quad I would say.

thanks alot for the info, i think me and chris 400 are going to get them when we decide to get exausts.

I have the Dr D. slipon on my 450R. It's just enough louder than stock to hear your shift points...not annoying at all.

Posted by: chris400

is that with the spark arrestor in? or out?

also, hows the sound

Posted by: baja_racer
