ahhh yes...and yes, lol

Posted by: Lespaul

i was told that you couldnt run full synthetic in the crack side because of a couple of plastic bushings would get eatin up. and if you ran the same in the clutch side that it would cause the clutch to slip now if thats false info. then great cause i would rather run a full synthetic cause of better all around performance.

i use fully synthetic oil in my engine side but wont ever be putting it in my clutch side. I use honda hp4 80-50 in that red bottle in my tranny

I run maxima extra 15-50 in the motor, and Maxima MTL 80 on the clutch!

here is some info from amsoil web site.
https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/mcf.aspx
if you look in your owner manual it will say you can run the same oil in the engine as you can in the trans.
been doing for 2 season and no problems.

I use AMSOIL 10W40 in the trans and the motor. its full synthetic and i've had not problems.

Just put Klotz Mx4 20w30 in both sides of mine. Its supposed to be good stuff. I would recommend it.

I too run mx4 klotz. I run the 10-40 in the motor side, but for the clutch I run the Honda 80w. Helps smooth out the shifting and seems to be less of those "missed gears" that everyone gets.

maxima premium atv 10w40

so far it has worked out very well. I was using it in my two stroke and when I got a four stroke I figured I'd try it.

since AMSOIL tells you its OK to use in the trans and the motor I did. the clutch doesn't slip and it resists breaking down and turing black better than the stuff I have used in the past. I guess the real test will come when the motor needs to be torn down and rebuilt.

Amsoil full synthetic 20/50 in crank and Honda HP trans in the clutch.

There are NO friction modifiers in ANY of Amsoils oil so it is perfectly fine to run their oil in your tranny. Friction modifiers may possibly cause your clutch to slip but I've ran mobil 1 WITH friction modifiers in my 400ex which also has a wet clutch and my clutch never slipped.

Amsoil all the way!! They also make gear oil but I havent tried it yet. I run the Amsoil 4 stroke Synthetic 10w40 and it is great! Ran it in my Predator too and it made it run better than any other oil I use so I'm sold on it!

Posted by: MR.BIG

I run belray thumper oil 20w50 in the engine and the honda hp4
80w90 in the tranny side.

The crank case and gear case are seperated. Do not run an oil with moly on the tranny side.
