I have a set of elka shocks. They are due for an oil change but once I removed the springs and found a spanner wrench I was unable to unscrew the spanner nut from the bottom of the shock housing. The spanner nut just kept spinning and spinning. Can someone please explain how to remove this nut from the bottom of the housing so i can change the oil and inspect for wear on the plunger. I also have a set of custom axis shocks and it is really easy to take the spanner nut off so im really confused. Also anyone know of a good place to respring shocks. The ones I have are a little stiff b/c they were set up for mx and I race xc. Thanks a bunch.

They will probably just say send them to us! But I might give it a try. It cant hurt anyway.

They will probably tell you that if you don't know how to take the nut off then you don't need to be messing with you shocks. I'd still give it a try though.
