if you put slicks and blinkers on ur quad can you make it street legal? or is there more that u need to do

i dont think its legal in the US unless its utility for a farm

Yeah its impossible.
Moped can go on the road but not ATV's

if it is snowing and there is more than 3 inches fourhweelers are legal.
If you have a fourwheeler that pushes 90 a police oficer cannot follow you any longer. legaly.
Altho highly not reccomended, if you arent wearing a helmet, a cop cant chase you.
I know all the tricks. I havent took my helmet off ever, but I have heard of it being done.
Back in the day in NH you could register a atv as a tractor, this was befor there where many quads. My dad has a atc 200 that has a tractor plate on it. It is still legal, when pulled over they look it up and it is a tractor. lol, My dad just has to register it every year, if he misses a year then he cannot do it any longer.
I havent riden it on the road tho, thing doesent run for crap. And tops out at about 30. boring.

I just got my 400 street legal. Over here in tucson I think you can legal any 4 stroke. Since mine is an 2005, the DMV didn't even look at the bike, they just gave me the plate. Ive seen a few other quads on the road over here also, mostly Raptors.

i would assume u would have to have it insured before u ride it on the streets

i dont think you can get a quad insured. its gong to get abbused so i dont think that insurence companies would want to.

all three of our quads are insured

I pay $180 dollars for 6 months for insurence. They cover liabily, thief up to 8,000 dollars, and unisured vechicals. The insurence is good anywhere too, street, trails, and dunes.

i have insurance on my 450r to the point where if i wreck it they pay for everything. I have a 500 deductible though. Say i go and bend the frame, they buy the new frame with labor costs to replace it. If you put a dirtbikes rear swingarm on the quad then you can drive it anywhere if it has the lights and all that. I do know in arizona you can legally drive it on the road

I read in a mag one time that a guy took a raptor and modded it to just inside the laws limmits and took it across the country. they did a whole article on it with pictures of it and everything.
