quads or dirtbikes?

i was thinking about starting to race MX this year and i am not sure if i want to race quads or dirtbikes anyone have any opinions?

You are joking right???? If it doesn't have four wheels, it's meant to ride ramps with or do flatland tricks.....

I went with the quad because I figure it would be safer. I think a dirtbike would be easier to go down on. I think 4 wheels would be easier to stay right side up

I've raced both. Quads are more fun to race but dirt bikes are much safer.

I have never been run over by a quad. I wish I could say different about the bike. The funny part is I was the one that got it on video. You can actually see the bike coming in an out of control wheelie. Unfortunatly, I was looking in a different direction. The good part is that I limped away without serious injury. Also, one of my boots got knocked into the White River. Stupid but funny.

Quads seem to crash less often than bikes but when quads crash they seem to be worst crashes and more expensive. When you turn to sharp and fast on a bike it slide out from under you when you do that on a quads its starts rollin and flippin. I think quads are more fun to race though. IMO

I am not saying you can not build friendships racing motorcycles, but in my experience, the quad racers are much more socialable, and a lot more fun to be around than those 2 wheeler guys who think they are Gods gift to Earth, and fued against the 4 wheel industry. (Again, my experience).

Sorry if I am "venting" too much... But again, I have made a lot of friendships and enjoyed the friendly competition among fellow quad racers.

I agree ive owned both and just have more fun getting sideways. Havent raced both though.

havent raced either..... but i would much rather ride the bike in the dirt than a quad. IDK about a track though. I think whatever one you are better on you should race, which ever one you chose will be lots of fun.
