this is hotrodbelair. my friends blew his motor yesterday. it was a 265 with stock rod and crank he bought it like that and the rod is in a million pieces crank is junk the sleeve got messed up pretty bad. hes got complete duncan cylinder just needs new sleeve. what were wondering is it worth goin to a stroker from hotrods, or should he stick with stock stroke. the duncan cylinder is a stock bore, ported. whats the next size sleeve he can get? then the sleeve he had on it was a stock sleeve bored out to a 265 how much farther can u bore out a stock sleeve.

You can bore the stock sleeve .120 over only if you use and 86 piston, they didn't make the 87 and up pistons in the bore size past 265. There is a company that makes a 300cc resleeve, but I don't remember the name I think it was GT..something.

where will .120 bring it too? and what are the gains he would get from getting a stroker?

Most companies get there sleeves form la sleeve. they make a 295- 310 reseleve with 5 over bores, last bore is 310.
in my opinion the stroker cranks are bad news. stock oem are the best.

I got a Wiseco hot rods id consider sellin him... it is 86 rod, so u will have to use 86 piston with it.

he means stick with a STOCK CRANK. use an 87-88 service honda crank and rod.
