i was wondering if i put a z400 motor in a lt250r frame would it be a nice bike or not handle good and what will i have to do to make it fit.

why would you want to??

it was just a thought

I dont think the motor would even fit without hacking and welding the frame. anyways , why would you use an outdated frame and suspension?? The z400 frame will give you more suspension and in return should be better handling over the lt250r frame setup. I dont think you would even save any weight.

i was just wondering cuse im buying a 86 lt250r rolling chassis and i need to fix the frame any ways so i was thinking wat 4 stoker would be nice in there. it realy cheap too so i can sell the parts off it to make wat im goin to pay for it.

Quadracers handled like poop, decent back in the day, for maybe one year then 250R came out and put an end to that. Stick with a Z400 chasis, it's a much better handling chasis than an old quadracer. The QR frame is to narrow also and the dampers suck compared to a Z400.

im not getting that rolling chassis any more so i think im goin to stick with the z.

only advantage i would see is if you was into drag racing then the longer lower frame would be more stable but not sure weather the older technology would out weigh the newer technology.....
