So I need to get new plastics, but what is the piece of "steel" between fender and the nose piece? Looks werid to me... Thanks

they are bolts. maier cannot copy the honda plasitcs exactly due to "copyright" issues so they alter the way they mount to get around that...where your stock plastic has a tab that was molded into it, the maiers have a hole through them that mount to a l shaped bracket...then this bracket mounts to the stock mounting bracket

okay, well that kind of sucks. I never saw it before... My broken stock plastics broke that mount right off. I guess it's the same thing by the lights...

yep...it really isn't that noticable though...i didn't like it at first, but i got used to it...still wish i had gotten fullbores though, but new maier fronts off of ebay to my door for less than $90 was too good to pass up...i wasn't even looking for any plastics and still have the very new looking stockers in my garage attic
