im taking my first trip to glamis this weekend and im low on funds right now. i have enough to buy rear paddles, but will i be ok with knobby fronts instead of sand tires?

You will be just fine... Get a good set of paddles and have fun. I just got back this evening, the weather was great as were the dunes.

ok well i am now gonna borrow a set from my buddy. should i get a 14 tooth sprocket?

I would get a 14 tooth, it will definately help out in the torque department on the large hills.

I work for 5 Star Gas and Gear (formerly Imperial Welding Supply) and teach welding at Palomar college with Don Peterson and Jay Miller. When I first used that call sign I was making my own Motorcyle powered sandrails as well as custom offroad bumpers and such. Now I just work on my quad and I have a 53 Ford F100 that I'm trying to build up for my son when he turns 16, I've got about 9 years left. I also do alot of fab work on a Class 7 Open race truck for Matt Carter and he races the CODE and Record races down in Mexico.
