I know that 450r stocks make the 250r sit higher, but does anyone know how much longer are they. I might have a deal on +3 arms and a set of 450r shocks...They would be for my 86...

You could do this if you have them revalved but for that price you might as well get some works shocks. Personally It will work. I had it on my r. It looks really high and retarded. It isnt the best setup you could have maybe a little better than stock but still pretty ghetto. My 2 cents.

If you go plus 2 or 3 on your a arms, it should be lower...
And look better. Has anyone tried?

Have not tried, but the rezys have to face forward to fit. IMO looks kinda funny too.

The length of the arms doesnt affect ride height

Ive got 450r shocks on my 87 with +3 arms. When I first got the shocks they were new and made it sit higher but once the shocks were broken in it sits at the normal height. Ive ridden 250r's with works shocks and these are a hell of alot better than them. Oh and the resevoirs dont have to face forward they can be mounted just like they are on a 450r.
