how many more years do you think the banshee will be in production? ive always wanted one but never saved up and got one. it seems like nobody buys them anymore so i was just wondering how much longer do you think they will keep em coming.

Posted by: Mxjunkie

2006 is the last year because of epa regulations. but you'll still be able to buy used ones and such.

Posted by: ZeroLogic

I'm going to sound stupid but whats epa? Is that going to restrict two strokes from riding in the woods and races?

Posted by: USAF Dirtboy

EPA= enviromental protection agency....no i dont think they are gonna stop racing 2 strokes...even though they should...lol jk

Posted by: ZeroLogic

So what do the hippies have against Yamaha to stop making shees?

Posted by: zeppelin

there wont be any laws about riding and racing the older ones, in-fact if yamaha made a few changes to the banshee to make it a closed course vehicle thenyou'd still beable to buy them in 07 (this is why they still have 125 and 250 dirt bikes )

EPA = Extreme Pain in the ***

Posted by: TRX_450

i heard that they are being re-released in 2010 as four strokes...but its jus a rumor i heard so who knows

Posted by: troutman561

would re-releasing a 350 4 stroke engine in the banshee frame make sense.. probably not since it'd be incredibly slow.. now if they put a 500 or 550 in it, then maybe it would be worth it

Posted by: Abrannan19

wouldnt that be called a "warrior"?

Posted by: RaptorHappy660r

i heard banshees last year was 2006 and was being replaced by the komanshee in 2007! i dont kno if this is true but it would sure be interesting to find out! anyone one else heard ne thing abo;ut it????????

Posted by: Titanium

I've never heard of the Kormanshee. Got any more info on it or some pics of it.

Posted by: sp1tekiller

The Banshee's replacement was released in 2004.

Most people like to call it the YFZ450.

Plus there is the new 700R too.

i herd the same but there 500cc 4stroke and its not calledd a banshee its cald something weird like banshee but i herd in 08

Posted by: Quadboy350

Yep sorry to say it but Yamaha's recently put it out in almost all ATV magazines that 06 is the last year for the BANSHEE. Thanks to those EPA CO*K SUCKERS, we have to lose a good quad. Just think the BANSHEE has been out since the late 80's, and is still considered to be one of the best quads today. There will truly never be another quad like it in the sport of hillclimbing or riding in the dunes. Sad to see it go.

Posted by: Jakeyracer

What is truely amazing is the fact that yamaha has not touched up the banshee since it came out and it is the best of the best duner right away on the first try and it is adaptable
usually when a new quad comes out it sits for a while then someone is willing to buy it and try it out and it gets it reputation from then on but the banshee was off the hinges RIGHT AWAY

that is like aceing a test without even knowing what it was about good job to yamaha

Posted by: Joe400ex

u think the prices for shees will go up when the stop making them. Atleast if there stock.

Posted by: Jakeyracer

it will be hard to find them stock but the price should be the same cuz lack of care and abusiveness or whatever
