Nice banshees everyone! I`ll try and post pics of mine up once if I ever manage to get my friend to come here with his digi cam
I had to hesitate between a few other quads before getting the banshee and I definitely don`t regret it! I`ve tried many other quads and the feel to it is unique... it`s just something that you won`t ever experience with any other quad.. anyway.. I`ll try to post pics soon!

It handles great! I have been racing it like that since '02 and have never had any problems with it. It is really well balanced, jumps and corners great.....I wouldn't have it any other way!

Here's a better picture.
Posted by: icecold_shee
race-a-holic, r those shearer inframes?
Posted by: race-a-holic
Yes they are.I actually sold them.I'm switching to CPI out of frames. The shearers were an awesome pipe, but I've never tried a set of out of frames. Also, the guy doing my porting really likes CPI's.I might end up hating the new pipes, but I'm just curious.
Posted by: icecold_shee
im wanting to get some inframes and not sure if i want cpis or shearer, how much did you sell em for
Posted by: race-a-holic
The cheapest I found the shearers for was at passion racing.com.I think they sell them for just under $400 chromed.Shearer offers to types of chrome. They have chrome and show chrome.I had the regular chrome. It's ok.Not the greatest though.Toomey,CPI chrome is alot better. The shearer pipes are awesome on a ported banshee.Make sure you get the right o-rings.I tried stock o-rings,and they leaked something awful.I've seen some scary fast banshees with cpi's.Different people swear by both pipes.I'll probably buy CPI's for my wife's banshee if we ever have it ported.I didn't help your decision any did I?Both pipes would probably do best with ported cylinders.
Posted by: icecold_shee
right now i have t5s on stock stroke and bore, stock portin, but if i move to the city, ill be close to the dunes so im gonna get an aggressive dune port, i guess the t5s would hold up well for that, but not have as much potential as some cpis
Posted by: QuadRacer18
Motofast 2-1 exhaust all that way!
Posted by: race-a-holic
Actually the T-5's are great for ported cylinders.Seen some very fast banshees with them.Probably should buy a set of bigger carbs. The T-5's should be good enough. You might gain some extra hp. with the other pipes, but having the bike dialed in is actually more important than just a set of pipes. When I had my shearers,I was actually beat twice by banshees with T-5's.Hope this helps.
Posted by: icecold_shee
yeah, it helps, never hurts to hear ppls experience, i have stock carbs now, and am runnin sand skate 2's, they suck, banshees whipped my ***, kept up with most 450s, im tryin to get some haulers b4 next time and then itll be a diff story i hope
Posted by: out4sand
My duner
http://www.out4sand.com/images/Gs_ride7.gif
Posted by: race-a-holic
out4sand,that banshee looks great.
icecold, haulers should help alot.Be careful not to get too carried away with too many paddles though.Too many will actually slow you down. For a bike with just a few mods,I'm thinking 8 paddles should be enough.Maybe 9 at the most.Just my opinion though.
Awhile back,my wife and I went to some dunes.I borrowed a set of geckos from a friend for her banshee. It was spinning them off.I'll definitely not be buying any of them, but I did appreciate him letting us borrowing them though.
Posted by: race-a-holic
The geckos are tough though. My friend had them on his' banshee last year at LS.He was showing off and done a burnout with them on pavement. You should have heard them tires howling. He's nuts.He laid down black marks for quite a ways after he let off the brake. It was cool, and the tires are still in pretty good shape.Just not good for drag racing though.I definetly prefer haulers.

those are paul turner mid range pipes.. ceramic coated..

how do you like the pt mids with the fast trekkers, i currently have t5's, but kinda want to try pt mids, let me know what you think of em, i do 90% trail ridin, and dunes bout 4 times a yr
Posted by: yamahonda
the fast trekkers kinda suck unless you ride hard packed dirt... i get too much wheel spin.. i just put them on to see if my new hipers would actually hold air with a broken bead on one of the trekkers.. i got others tires i'll be puttin on there...

to me a banshee looks like an 80,s car, like crap but i love riding them. so heres an option for people that want it different, but dont want the raptor banshee plastic.

the banshee plastics are original. none other are like it. it screams, wanna race? a classic look..... kinda like 60's muscle cars.

Yea, I had seen some plastics somewhere in a magazine once of this company called Wtec or something like that, I really like those. They keep the same banshee look but just make it easier on the eye, less hard edges, more smooth lines. I like integrated lights also.

Believe it or not, most people have no idea waht it is, they just think it's a Banshee. When I tell them it has an RZ motor, I usually lose them.
Posted by: yamahonda
lol
i bet it awesome ride.. this is bansheefreak from hq.. so i know all about the rz outlaw...
Posted by: terboed
ive got an rz shee in the works. how did you get the pipes to fit around the pulley on the left side? i was thinking i could just dent the pipe in a bit and it wouldent effect it too much. im using lrd adjustables, looks like you got rockets.
Posted by: broke
Rockets and PTRs are the only pipes that I know of that clear. PTRs are great for stock port or lightly ported motor.
Your pipes will nned a huge dent.
