i got the 04.all i can say is change ur oil every 10 to 15 hours of riding and change ur gearbox fluid the same thats what i do and i havent had one problem yet. just do maintance also let the bike warm up before blasting away.god luck hope this helps

If your nephew's has the hrc kit i'd make it a habbit when changing oil's to go over alot bolts. Mine likes to loosen up the rear hub's and axle alot. This happens from riding in the higher rpm range more often [that causes more vibration].
