what will it take for a 400ex to beat a z400 with a sparks full exhaust and kn filter?

it all depends on how good of a rider you are. one of my friends has a z with about the same mods and me and i can beat him 9 times out of 10. if its a fairly long drag race the Z has more top end speed but in a short race or in trails and 400 can win a majority of the time with good riding skills

My brother has a z and I have a 400ex. In a drag I took off faster and was winning untill at the end he pulled away slowly. The ex picks up faster but the z has a higher top speed

i think the suzuki kawasaki and honda 400s are all very similar each have their pros and cons, and stock for stock they are probably the same is power and performance, most of the drags and who's faster comes down to who knows how to shift properly and can ride... i mean you can put a pro on a stock 450r and put a rookie on a 450r thats fully modded and the pro could win just b/c he knows how to use it "my opinion"

i personally dont think locally 1500 bucks more is worth the 450r put 1500 bucks into a 400ex see what it does to a 450r ;-)
